New Resolution Set for 2012!

In 2009, I told myself I would like to learn baking as a hobby as one of my 2010 resolutions.

So in 2010, when I was still attending baking classes, I began to introduce my hidden talent on Facebook. Surprisingly, Hi-Delicious was launched and I had invested some money on a new oven and other appliances because I received quite a number of orders from my friends and relatives.

I felt really excited because I managed to get an income from my hobby.

In 2011, I aimed to enhance my baking skills and specialize in cakes. Fondant cakes and sugarpaste flowers was on my list for the year. I also doubled my capacity to bake Lapis cakes and cookies for Hari Raya without my maid.

YAY!

So, what should my resolutions be for 2012?

1. Focus on fondant cakes?

2. Sign up a Pastry Diploma course?

3. Should I start a new hobby? What about sewing? Hi-Dress?

I never fail to set new resolution for myself each year. Looking back what I've aim to achieve in 2011, I guess I've been doing quite alright except for one. Most importantly, I always pray the best to everything I do and to the people I really love. Each day, I want to feel much wiser and confident. I wish I could always do more than what I have done to make others and myself happy. I've strong faith and always believe in Allah.

I'll be graduating in 2012. I hope I'll get the job I always wanted and be financially stable. Travel and experience the world has always be my ultimate dream every year. Afterall, I don't want stay in my comfort zone all the time.

I'm bless that I have known many nice friends but unfortunately, I didn't manage to seeing any guys yet. Honestly, I don't know why? I'll leave it to Allah to guide me on this.

I just hope success, good health and wealth will always be on our side.

May 2012 be an awesome and amazing year to all.

This year, I felt rather excited with the existence of a 'new comer' in Islam.
For the past few months, I have been sharing my islamic knowledge with him.
Adding to my excitement is, he is going to Holy Land on 1st Ramadan for 14 days.
Allah has welcomed and opened the doors to Islam.

May Allah always protect and guide him.

Bubbling Dream!

I'm having my 4 months summer break and it's almost a month gone! Besides enjoying most of my time at home, I currently occupy my time with work.

For once I thought working in an insurance company sounds very professional. So do my position as a 'PA'. Lol...

I don't deny that my colleagues are well-dressed and smart looking people.

However, the tough part is when I've to call clients and convince them to sign up a saving plan and do investments. It wasn't an easy task and I hate to be on the phone!

Fortunately, I'm just a part-time staff otherwise I should be deaf by now.

No matter what, I call it a quit.
As much as I wanted to go away from the norm, I'm sticking it to very closely.
I'm having such a great time with the students even though there must be at least one rascal in class. Through the years of teaching, I wonder if I could still join NIE after my graduation next year. That's another dream to come.

For the time being, I'll just continue to do well in my business studies and that would probably take me another 7 more months.
This holidays, I simply can't wait to attend wedding cake classes but the bakers seems to be upgrading their own skills at this point in time.

I guess I've been bubbling too much.

Just a Thought!

Life hasn't been so extravagant so far.
Everything seems so norm and I getting too complacent.
It's my holiday season and holiday with less friends in town is super duper boring.

How I wish I could do something more exciting now?
Like flying on a hot air balloon, get my feet on the ski board, shopping in the high street of London, or date some hot charming French men. Hehe...

But really, I need a change!

Single life shouldn't be this boring.
Long distance friendship has always been my pleasure.
I love the fact that I'm sharing my life stories to a close and 'trustable' stranger.
However, to commit in long distance relationship is really a big question.
We can be nice to each other for four years
but as gf, I do need to see my bf just like any other couples.

Sorry for my selfishness, simply because my broken heart is just too fragile.
Please treat this rejection positively, because I want our days to fill with smile and not tears.
No promise if I can wait for you to come back
but if I'm still single, why not you ask again? :)

I never been so careless like this before,

I really feel like crying for losing my Economics Lecture Notes!
Goodness, I think there is a reason why I lost it yesterday.

Perhaps, it's a positive sign to start revising doubly hard for my
Market Regulation and Competition Exams.
Oh God, I really need it terribly for the 3 hours!

I'm not here to blog or promote Singapore Changi Airport.
Because you probably know better than myself.
However, the only thing I want to share is that
I visited the airport almost 3 times a week for the past 2 weeks.

Nothing strange because my family and I have been sending off some relatives and friends who went on their year-end holidays.
Not enough to just send them off, we welcomed them back again.
So that accounts the reasons why Changi Airport can be my playground!

While everyone is busy leaving Singapore,
I have no choice to stay home with my proposals.

What makes me feel so agitated is,
my parents are flying off too!
I feel like blaming the technology because they managed to book their tickets within 24 hours to Jakarta tomorrow night for the purpose of visiting relatives!
Hahaha....

So now Fly me to the Moon can? Hehehe...

The coolest part about this desk is it's foldable and

What's New in School?

Today is my 7th day in the campus.
I still have to push myself out of the bed at 5:45 am everyday.
It is tough to get up from the comfort of my blanket and pillows, catch myself in the cold shower, grab some light breakfast, rush to the first bustop by 7:00 am sharp, squeeze myself in the crowds, and try to be as attentive as I could be for 3-6 hours of lectures!

Time flies really fast.
Today marks my last Services Marketing Lectures.

I had my 10 minutes group presentation just now.

Hahaha... a presentation which I have not been doing for the past 1 year plus.

Goodness, everything went smoothly! :)

Oh, I had my Revision Lecture too.
When in Poly, students never fail to come to revision lectures

because lecturer will spoon feed you with tips.

But dream on if you are in the University level.

The last thing you want to know from the lecturer is to stress us to write 5 pages long for each question during exams!

How is that possible? Hahaha....

You have 3 months to start thinking how to crap your stories and link it to the theories.

Simple as that!

This course is going to be extremely intensive.
So, people if you see me around,
please tell me about this term,

Back to School!

I was once a teacher.
And now, I am a student.

The feeling of going back to school seems very out of place.
Perhaps, it has been a year since I attended long dragging lectures.
Plus, having to manage my time between study and life!

First day of school was awesome.
Knowing the fact, I know no one. Hahaha...
Saying Hi and Hello has introduced me to seven new clicks.
Of course, I'm hoping to know everyone after the first week. :)

My new school is a mixture of international flavours.

The lecturers were specially flown from Birmingham

and friends were from Vietnam, India and of course Singapore.

Most of us had a year break from school ever since our Diploma.
So we all kind of feeling nervous especially

when the Course Director gave us a freak with her new term,
''You Read your own Degree!''

Tell me what you understand from this term. Hehs...

I just hopeful that university will be an awesome place for me
to gain higher knowledge,
develop my skills and potentials
that would allow me to take up a challenging career in the future.

I never imagine I could handle a class of 30 all by myself.

After a few days in an extremely hot desert,
we definitely love the brightly windy weather in San Francisco.
Pier 39 was the place where my family and I fell in love with San Francisco!

All because of our first sumptuous meal in Fog Harbour Fish House!
Teeheehee... the crab and the seafood was super fulfilling.
We grabbed most of our souvenirs at Pier 39 too!
Our next enjoyable moment was the Golden Gate Bay Cruise!

A hour ride to catch the magnificent view of the Golden Gate Bridge was a life-time experience.

Heehee...We probably got ourselves tanned!

The Sin City!

Never I cross my mind that I will be in Las Vegas!
A city that is hip with gambling and night scene.
So what else that is so interesting about this Sin City?

Okay, Las Vegas has this very romantic musical fountain that you can watch outside Bellagio every night! If you miss it, just hold on because it repeats every 15 minutes.

In Bellagio, they have their own in-house garden!
I feel as if I was in Amsterdam.

On our second day in Vegas,
we took a coach to visit one of the world wonders,
Grand Canyon West Rim!

We walked the sky!
Goodness gracious, it was scorching hot!

Everywhere you go in Vegas, you will mostly see the rich!

And every hotel in Vegas has its own casino.
This is the casino in Luxor Hotel where I stayed.
I passed by this place every morning in order to get to the restaurant for breakfast.

Peeps, you know what?
There are slot machines even at Las Vegas International Airport!
Tsk,tsk,tsk!

Perhaps, they want you to have your very last chance to be a big winner or loser!

I did tell you that my parents went to Paris Disneyland without me.
This time, my daddy has fulfilled my dreams to bring me to Disneyland California!
Hahaha... daddy is so happy to be in Disneyland for the second time.

We were fascinated when we saw that Hollywood famous signage for real!

Not knowing that we had to give them tips after we took a shot with them.
A destination that must not to be missed was Universal Studios Hollywood!

Goodness gracious, this grilled chicken is Halal and it was super delicious!
It kept me full throughout my 16 hours flight back to Singapore!

Staying in Athlone for three months was a tough challenge yet memorable.
Nevertheless, I could feel the connection I have already built in this place.
It was a hard time for me to say farewell to all the people who I have met everyday.

On a Saturday morning, I joined AIT international student club to visit one of Ireland's Famous tourist spots, Cliff of Moher.

At 8 degrees by the cliffs, we girls were freezing!
What else can I do besides taking pictures.

For a moment, I thought these cliffs looked similar to the one at Twelve Apostles.

Excitedly to announce, I have 4 more weeks to meet my family in London!
But I don't believe my parents are flying to Paris Disneyland without me.

Dublin!

My housemates and I took the earliest bus from Athlone bus station and sat through a 2 hours journey to reach the capital land of Ireland, Dublin.
It is a must to visit Dublin since it has a totally different 'life'.
The were lots of crowds, shops open to late hours and definitely a best spot for a shoppaholic like me.
This is Grafton Street where you can get most of the high-end and popular brands.

I'm happy to grab all the souvenirs for you people in Singapore!
Ahah, now I just have to carry those heavy bags around to visit the Trinity College!

Discovery Athlone!

Athlone is such a plain and peaceful town that I get rather bored in the weekends.
On 5th Oct 2008, my Lithuanian friends and I went on a 45 minutes free boat ride along the River Shannon.

I freely hired them as my 'bodyguards'. :)

Kilkenny!

AIT organized so much study trips for the European students to tour around the favourite hot spots in Ireland.
I was fortunate to join the group to visit Kilkenny!

Kilkenny is well-known for its beer and history.
In Ireland, there are so many Cathedrals and Castles around
which I thought the architecture looked all the same to me. Ahah..!

This was on the other side of the cathedral which I thought the view was lovely.

First time in my life, I went to watch Horse Racing!
The weather was so gloomy and windy at Gowran Park.

The interesting part of this trip, the professors encouraged their students to try their luck on the horses.
At 6 degrees, my camera and my fingers were almost frozen to capture the race!
Well that's about Kilkenny and one of my Saturdays is gone!

First time in history,
I have proved to many that I'm not just a little daddy's girl.
Being far from home,
struggling my way through to complete my student internship took a lot of sacrifices.
Homesick is natural.
But being far during Syawal is something unusual.
My Lithuanians housemates kept me in smile.
Celebrating Eid-Mubarak in Athlone with foreign friends was a wonderful experience.
Especially if you experience eating only fried rice and begedils on a New Year.
Heehee... be grateful of what you have peeps! :)
New Year is no fun if we don't play with fire crackers!

Ramadhan in Athlone!

I have my first Ramadhan in Athlone all by myself!
I am imagining the delicious selection that Mummy would have prepare on the table right now.
Sadly to say, there isn't any halal meat in Athlone and spices are limited.
But Mummy & Daddy, don't worry.
I won't go straving and I will stay Halal! :)

See what I have cooked for my break fast...
Chili Prawns with hot rice.

Fish fingers on french toasts.

Baked beans with fried potatoes and bread.
Even though, there is no rice cooker, I took the trouble to cook the rice on stove before frying it with prawns!

The sky was still dark when I left home.

My heart was pumping really fast waiting to be called for my turn.

Focus was the only thing in my mind.

Confidently, I breezed through all my circuit and road obstacles.

Even before, the tester could finish counting on my points,
I knew 21 July 2007 is the date I became a lady driver.
